Cardinal Comeback!

July 6th, 2008 Steven Posted in Sports | 1 Comment »

WOW what a game! I was at this game with my father-in-law Bryan and it was a fantastic game. What an afternoon we had together. We hit the field 3 hours early and walked around downtown St. Louis. We visited the arch and took a look at the flooding that was starting to go down. We walked over to the stadium and hung out until they opened the gates. I was able to get some decent shots from the batters warming up! The afternoon was a bit warm but it was well worth it! Between the fantastic nacho deluxe and the 9th inning come back win the afternoon couldn’t have been any better. It was really nice getting to spend some time with my other father-in-law Bryan as we got a chance to bond a bit and really get to know each other while enjoying some good baseball! So now you may see me sporting my STL cardinal ball cap or shirt!

I’ll be posting picture probably this weekend!

Toughest places to play in NCAA football

June 30th, 2008 Steven Posted in Texas Tech Football | No Comments »

Pretty nice that The Jones was rated as the #24 toughest place to play some ball! Wreck’Em!

24. Texas Tech – Jones Stadium – The current capacity is listed as nearly 53,000, but a record attendance of 56,158 occurred on October 28, 2006 during a game against the Texas Longhorns. In March 2007, an estimated $40 million upgrade was announced instead. It will add immediately 10,000 new seats and a five-story building for club, retail, and suite space. The fans are known for giving Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M all they can handle anytime they play here. The Red Raiders have a 306-152-13 (.663) record at home.

Diablo III!!!

Diablo III!

HOLY SMOKES! I get asked all the time why I don’t play games. Well honestly, I just don’t have time. A little unknown secret is that I have an additive personality and can become addicted to video games so I tend to stay away. I played Halo a bit but was able to not get addicted. There has been only one series that I was indeed addicted to a few years ago. When I was a senior in college Blizzard released this incredible game Diablo. I played this game and couldn’t get off the computer until I beat the game a few days later. A few years later Blizzard released Diablo II…the same effect…I couldn’t get off the game until I beat the game 2 days later. Huho…Blizzard just announced Diablo III. Oh man….this time I’ll have a uber faster computer and surround sound to play this game. I guess I better tell Wifey I’ll be out of pocket for a few days when it’s released! :-)

Hartzog to serve as Tech’s Masked Rider

June 27th, 2008 Steven Posted in Digital Photography, Family, General, Texas Tech Football | 1 Comment »

Wow! There might be a similar quote like the one below in 13 years about my Jacey-Beth and becoming the Masked Rider!

That desire was born in Hartzog when she was 5 years old and saw her first Tech game in person. Her father was a Tech alumnus who always made a point to bring his family back to campus to watch his old school play. But his young daughter enjoyed the pregame pageantry much more than the game itself.

“To a 5-year-old, football is just something to watch, but it wasn’t nearly as exciting as seeing the black horse that runs out in front of the team when it takes the field,” Hartzog said. “I was struck from the first time I saw it.”

iPhone to get iTunes remote control appz

June 27th, 2008 Steven Posted in Apple | No Comments »

Pretty slick feature coming up next with the iPhones and iTunes integration!

Apple has just released a slew of iPhone/iTunes-related updates, and amidst the madness are a couple of pretty exciting bits of info. Most significantly, it looks like Apple is getting ready to provide iPhone and/or iPod Touch owners with a free iTunes remote control application. Very few details were revealed, but there’s a clear reference to the new application in the developer notes for the new build of iTunes 7.7 that was seeded today. We’re guessing there will be some sort of ad-hoc network established between the iPhone and computer, either via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and hopefully we can expect cool features like seeing track names, playlists, and more, instead of just the basic play / pause /fast forward / rewind controls.

June 23rd, 2008 Steven Posted in Funnies | No Comments »

Sunday morning we were heading down to the uptown area to check out a potential photography spot for portraits. While driving down hwy 75 I saw a very humorous billboard. I got a good laugh at it.
