I love that he speaks his mind and the truth!
We don’t know for sure if and when Bob Knight will be broadcasting a Kentucky game for ESPN.
We do know it will be interesting when it happens.
The former Indiana and Texas Tech coach used a little of his 95-minute talk at an Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame fund-raiser to question the checkered NCAA past of Kentucky coach John Calipari.
“We’ve gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking, and that’s why I’m glad I’m not coaching,” Knight said. “You see we’ve got a coach at Kentucky who put two schools on probation, and he’s still coaching. I really don’t understand that.”
While people still remember Knight for the championships and the outbursts, he did have a solid reputation for integrity. On this subject, he has the moral high ground.
